Catching Elephant is a theme by Andy Taylor
Can you tell that it’s spring? ♡
I, erh, doodled some in ps and somehow it ended up like this.
Way too personal and way too naked? Didn’t even realise that it was my body I was drawing until I noticed the uneven sized breasts.
Might take this down later but enjoy my issues while it lasts.
I was bored and hadn’t tried making peace with my tablet in a while.
It wasn’t co-operating much tonight either but at least I made a wolf.
Wolf is not amused.
You should leave it alone.
I told you I was painting flowers, didn’t I?
It’s time for bed now though. Bai.
I’m sick and decided to paint something to make me feel better. Wolf cuddles were obviously the right choice.
Ignore anatomy completely, because that’s what I did. I started with the wolf and added everything else after so nothing really makes sense.
But look, I’m sharing!
And there’s a human in the picture even. That must be progress.
Still life, Oil on canavas (aprox 70 x 100 cm?) /haven’t measured it
Finished 18/10I actually liked this one in the end.
But that feather was so much work.
Forgot to share the finished piece with you a few weeks ago, but here it is!
Not really something to hang on the wall, but it was good practice^^
I played around with water colours earlier this evening, as yes, here they are.
Didn’t use any references except from my own memories, and they aren’t that accurate XD
The first one is the view from my boyfriends bedroom window.
Second is the view from the workshop at school (it’s on a hill).
Third is… eh, forest. Actually inspired by a fanfic, heh.
The fourth has something to do with that freezing Marauder weekend in January this year.
Also look at that fantastic vinyl floor of mine. Ugly as hell. Perfect when painting.
We’re supposed to be going though acrylic paint this week, but I got so bored I started drawing a jackdaw clock instead.
Because that made sense at the time.
Edit: Updated with better photo at home.
Today I carried a 4 kilo concrete wolf head half across town. Or well, to the subway and then later to the bus that took me half across town. IT WAS STILL REALLY HEAVY OK.
This Monday I started to crack the plaster mould, but somehow the plaster and the concrete had bonded, which caused major problems. (This happened to all the moulds not just mine so I hadn’t done anything wrong…)
But after a morning of cutting and hammering and me getting blisters on my hands I finally had most of my wolf out.
More cutting and scrubbing with a steel brush followed.
It took a few hours as well. Blisters weren’t happy.

Finally (sort of) clean! It had a lot of small air bubbles in it, particularly on the nose and right side of the head. So I used latex putty to fill in some of them (I’m going to continue doing this at home) so I can paint the whole thing next week in school.
When it was properly dried it took a much lighter grey colour (typical concrete colour you know) and I’m not sure I like it. So I’ll probably paint it in some darker brownish grey, and perhaps some details. We’ll see next week ;)

And obligatory picture of me at the end
As I sat down in a mud pile yesterday my jacket wasn’t an option today.
So it was me, the rain and four layers of clothes today instead.
As my friends already know, I’m taking an art class.
I can honestly say I have never had more fun (in “school”) than I’m having now.
We don’t have lessons, we have “work hours”.
And during those work hours we’re free to try more or less anything we want with the given materials. This week we’ve been learning to cast in concrete.
And being me, I had to make a wolf.
This is the base made of clay.

Then covered in plaster to make a negative mould.

And then the clay is removed and the mould cleaned out so it’s ready to be filled with concrete.

It looks perfectly evil XD
In a few days I’ll be able to crack the plaster and hopefully get a (more or less) perfectly shaped concrete wolf. Or its head, I mean.
If it doesn’t break or anything I’ll show it to you on Monday or sometime^^
I don’t know what I wanted to say with this post but life is really going well for me now. I’m having fun in “school” (still feels wrong to call it that) and my friends and boyfriend are awesome. And I bought a new shirt yesterday! It’s pretty.
My hand looks ridiculously big but that’s just the angle… I think.
Anyhow. Good night. <3
I ended up with a stocky guardswoman (?) and a sassy slender guy.
I don’t really know why she is barefoot, but I really like drawing feet for some reason.

Also, the Swedish soundtrack of Jesus Christ Superstar is great to listen to while drawing. Something to do with the pace of it. And Judas.
I just knew you were dying to know what I’m doing in the evenings nowadays.
One day I made toast with avocado and mozzarella for lunch.
It was fantastic.
This is Ronja the cat, who I had the pleasure to meet while staying with Lolo in Västerås last weekend.
I dare say she’s a very special cat. Gave us looks of pure hatred most of the time, but I think she just looks that way, because she was quite the fuzzball when stretching out on the couch being cuddled all over.
And I think she enjoyed our spontaneous photo session.
